"C'est si bon"

"C'est si bon" es una canción francesa, con música compuesta en 1947 por Henri Betti, la letra en francés fue escrita por André Hornez, y en inglés por Jerry Seelen, la versión inglesa lleva por título "It's So Good". La canción fue popularizada por Louis Armstrong e Yves Montand, que interpretaron la canción en inglés y en francés respectivamente.

La canción también fue interpretada por Eartha Kitt en una versión incluida en 1954 en la película New Faces of 1952, y por Johnny Desmond. La grabación de Desmond fue hecha el 11 de mayo de 1949, por MGM. La grabación de Eartha Kitt lo fue en 1953, por la discográfica RCA Victor.

La cantante germano-belga Angèle Durand la cantó en versión francesa y fue un éxito en Bélgica así como su versión alemana en Alemania en 1950. Según el libro Billboard Top Pop Singles de Joel Whitburn, Danny Kaye grabó una versión en 1950, Conway Twitty también en 1960.

En 1951, la mexicana Ana María González estrenó en España la versión en castellano y mucho más adelante, en 2010 y también en España Eva Cortés la interpretó en su disco "El mar de mi vida" (Universal Music), en francés y en español junto al cantaor Miguel Poveda

"Joan of Arc (Maid of Orleans)" -O.M.D.

"Joan of Arc (Maid of Orleans)" es una canción interpretado por la banda británica OMD y lanzada al mercado como tercer single  de su tercer álbum de estudio Architecture & Morality. El tema fue originalmente compuesto por Andy McCluskey el 30 de mayo de 1981,  coincidiendo con el 550º aniversario de la muerte de Juana de Arco. La canción está compuesta en compas de 6/8 dándole un estilo de vals. El tema principal es una melodía simulando una gaita por medio de sintetizadores junto con en el Mellotrón intercalando voces, coro femenino y arreglos de cuerdas, todo en un conjunto plenamente tecno.

Para evitar la confusión con su anterior single "Joan of Arc", la canción fue retitulada " Maid of Orleans (The Waltz Joan of Arc)" si bien en la cultura musical ha pasado a denominarse de forma generalizada como Juan de Arco, por lo menos en España. Ambas canciones versan sobre la figura  la heroína francesa Juana de Arco y ambos alcanzaron el Top 5 de la lista de singles del Reino Unido. No obstante Maid of Orleans (The Waltz Joan of Arc) alcanzó en otros países como Alemania, Holanda y España el numero uno y no solo este hecho sino que la canción ha perdurando en el tiempo convirtiéndose en un clásico de la  música tecno o Synth Pop..

"Beautiful Ones" - Suede

"Beautiful Ones" es una cancion interpretada por el grupo britanico Suede. Fue el segundo sencillo del álbum Coming Up, lanzado el 14 de octubre de 1996 por la discográfica Nude Records. La canción se convirtió en un Top Ten en el Reino Unido, alcanzando el puesto nº 8 sin embargo a nivel internacional ni la cancion ni el grupo llegaron a cotas tan altas como las de sus contemporaneos Osis o Blur, exponentes todos del denominado Britpop.

Billboard describió el tema: "Como una canción de Oasis destrozada rapidamnete, los londineneses Suede logran crear sonidos pop/rock que son definitivamente únicos. Las dolorosamente reales letras y los sonidos vibrantes ya han demostrado ser un éxito en el Reino Unido".

El video de la canción fue dirigido por Pedro Romhanyi, quien previamente ya habia realizado  el videoclip  para la canción de la banda, "Animal Nitrate".

"Living in the Plastic Age" - The Buggles

"Living in the Plastic Age" es una canción new wave del grupo británico The Buggles, grabada en enero de 1980 y disponible en el álbum The Age of Plastic. A pesar de ser la primera pista en el disco ya mencionado, fue grabada después de Video Killed the Radio Star. La canción llegó al puesto número 16 de las listas en el Reino Unido.

La canción alude a la cirugía plástica y al estrés de la cultura moderna. The Buggles también creó un vídeo musical bastante futurista e inusual, el cual salió en pantallas el mismo año. Sin embargo, este vídeo raramente ha aparecido en canales de música.

El videoclip empleó colores brillantes y motivos bastante provocativos (como mujeres con pintura corporal representando objetos inanimados).

El vídeo tiene lugar en algún momento del futuro, con 3 jóvenes vestidos como demonios, usando gafas coloridas (como parte de una vestimenta futurista) en un espacio oscuro. Uno de ellos apunta a un edificio en una pequeña ciudad que parece una maqueta. En una sala Trevor Horn se despierta de una cama movediza vistiendo guantes de goma amarillos y un traje gris. Horn abre una puerta y ve a una mujer con maquillaje blanco, casi semi-desnuda, que lanza una misteriosa chispa (esta chispa reaparece después en el vídeo).
